Jacq is a nonbinary poet from California.

They are a high school dropout and first-generation college transfer student. Jacq holds a B.A. in English with a minor in Creative Writing from UC Berkeley. They are currently in the Creative Writing MFA program at San Francisco State University, where they are the 2017-2018 recipient of the William Dickey Fellowship in Poetry.

Their work has appeared in Bettering American Poetry: Volume 2, Linden Avenue, Peach Mag, Berkeley Poetry Review, The Fem, Apogee, Gravel Magazine, Columbia Poetry Review, TQ Review (Damaged Goods Press), Yes Poetry, The Nottingham Review, MISTRESS, and elsewhere. Their art and poetry has been featured in "Way Bay" (Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive, 2018) and "'Not Even': Poets Make Collage" (Bushel Collective, 2016).  


Their first chapbook, GREATER GRAVE, debuted from The Operating System (Brooklyn, NY) in June 2018.
